It’s official – The Walt Disney co. is buying Marvel Entertainment Inc. for the amount of 4 Billion Dollars!!!
Disney which it’s main strength is with the female audience with shows such as the Jonas Brothers and Hanna Barbara , would now have access to over 5000 new characters including the X-men , Spider man , Iron-man and thousands of other characters that appeal to younger males.

With the variety of distribution channels owned by Disney that include theme parks , global sales infrastructure , cable TV networks and video game industry this deal looks favourable.
Under the signed deal the Marvel shareholders would receive 30$ per share and an additional 0.745 Disney share – which Disney is planning to buy back by the end of next year. Overall the deal is valued at 50$ per Marvel share which is about 30% premium. This may seem a steep evaluation but is considered a good long term strategic move by analysts which states that Marvel is worth more inside Disney than outside.

The current deal is the largest since the acquisition of Pixar Studios in 2006 and reinforces Disney’s trust in the future of 3D animation and visual effects in the next features and the The Illusion of Life

Beatles' Yellow Sumbarine

It looks too good to be true , but the the news was officially released (Variety) , Disney-Pixar are in the last stages of negotiating with Robert Zemeckis (“Who Framed Roger Rabbit”,“Forrest Gump”), the Academy award winning director about a 3D remake of the Beatles’ 1968 animated film Yellow Submarine.

Variety reports that the negotiation has been going on for a few months now with LOADS of close legal examination of copyrighting issues. The movie is scheduled to be released on the summer of 2012 , featuring 16 classic songs such as “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” , “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” “All You Need Is Love” and more…

Even before the talks about Disney Pixar Remake of Beatles Yellow Submarine The interest in the Beatles’ music has remained high for years and is reflected in various existing projects such as the release of the movie “Across the Universe” and it’s Soundtrack , The Beatles Love show and with large anticipation to the release of the “The Beatles-Rock Band” video game.

Robert Zemeckis

The original full length Yellow Submarine animated movie features the appearance or the Beatles members and presents a marvellous voyage in sky and sea inside a yellow submarine. The submarine is manned by Skipper and the Beatles , it’s destination is Pepperlandwhere the residents are up against the Blue Meanies (grotesque thugs).

The movie is mostly psychedelic using multiple 2d layers ,the new Disney Pixar Remake of Beatles Yellow Submarine should be a 3D spectacular using the performance-capture technology used in  “Beowulf” and his future coming remake of “A Christmas Carol” in which Jim Carey plays the Scrooge and the ghosts that haunt him as well.
